Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Erie will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Pennsylvania usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (814) 452-1933. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, romolochocolates.com.

Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

For delicious local chocolates, look no further! Romolo Chocolates has a variety of chocolate treats, some you can order by the pound at the counter, others are prepackaged and ready to scan at check-out. Be sure to check out the free sample of the day too! Chocolate covered sponge candy is one of the most popular options for its uniqueness- it is good, but my favorites are the chocolate covered potato chips and peanut butter cups. You really can’t go wrong though, it’s quality chocolate. Pro tip: during warmer months, ask for your order to be packed with a complimentary ice pack so your chocolate doesn’t get melty on the trip home.

Incredible! Hands-down, the best decaf oat milk lattes, I’ve ever had. I only wanted it lightly sweet and they actually listened! I went two days in a row and got two different baristas, they tasted the same! My group also got ice cream, which everyone loved. And we got chocolate. It was soooo good! The sponge candy was unlike anything I had had before. The flavor and texture are irresistible. I am going to be craving that latte and sponge candy until I get the chance to go back to Erie.

I am not usually a chocolate store guy but this place hit the spot. I love that the chocolate and specialties are made in house. We tried sponge candy and dark chocolate almonds. Both were great. I tried sponge candy in Buffalo and I was not a fan but Romolos gave me hope. I would recommend stopping in for their sponge candy and dark chocolate. We grabbed a chocolate bar at a gift shop because we liked it so much. Nice little store that has a merch store and cafe with room to sit outside.

The aroma alone when you enter the building is worth the stop. Nice selection of delicious chocolates, beverages, pastries and ice cream. The sponge candy is amazing. Ample parking. Friendly staff.

What better day to visit Romolo Chocolates than Valentine’s Day! First time being in Erie and stumbled upon this amazing place and I wanted to try the chocolate covered strawberries! It was super busy and hard to find a parking spot and once inside they moved the lines along quickly. We bought strawberries and then headed into the cafe to try the hot chocolate which was more like decadent sipping chocolate. It was the best sipping chocolate I’ve ever had! The strawberries were also amazing. They are so thickly covered in chocolate and need to be eaten within 24 hours. Definitely follow that rule because the strawberries are best within that time frame. They were delicious. They had both milk and dark chocolate covered strawberries. I prefer the milk chocolate and they did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend Romolo’s for your chocolate fix.
